It's our 10th birthday! So come on over and celebrate with the biggest Lunar New Year Festival and ring in 2020 with a bang! The 10th annual SD Lunar New Year Festival will kick off the celebration of the important Asian holiday and bring festive cheer and prosperity, to San Diego. It features dazzling lanterns, bands, lion dances, fire crackers, and a very large selection of Asian food! The prices are good, and the quality is excellent. There’s a reason why 25,000 – 35,000 people start their Lunar New Year with SD Lunar New Year Festival at SDCCU Stadium!

The SD Lunar New Year Festival operates entirely through voluntary and unpaid efforts. The dozen coordinators, staff, and over 250 college and high school students dedicate countless hours to ensure residents receive the highest quality services they deserve.

100% proceeds from the festival will be used in the revitalization efforts of the Little Saigon District of San Diego. Your support from sponsorship, vendor fee, and ticket sale help paid for the items such as 5 community cleanup events (2019), 6 custom built trash cans (2019), 2 cultural landmark freeway signs (2018), 8 custom-built trashcans (2017) and 27 cultural banners (2017).

2020 festival proceeds will be paid for 20 engraving planters – an effort of using community arts to fight against gentrification. We are still far from reaching our goals. Your donation, help and support by attending our events, will help makes a real difference in the revitalization efforts to renew the new district.

The Lunar New Year Festival will be open Friday, January 17th, 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Saturday January 18th, 11:00 am – 10:00 pm and Sunday, January 19th, 11 am – 8 pm. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children.
