      Healing WRITE Through It!

Healing WRITE Through It  is a writing workshop that provides a space for community members to join in conversation around healing and unpacking obstacles that delay healing in our journeys. This workshop is a three-part series with meeting dates occurring WEEKLY ON THURSDAYS at 4 pm between 06/27/2019 - 07/11/2019. o During this series there will be room for attendees to make connections that will aid in creating a safe space for us to discuss our experiences and feel supported by those in the space. This workshop will begin 06/27/2019 with a healing circle and a discussion led by Tamiel Mckee Bey (@Iamallthatyouare on Instagram/Twitter). The second meeting, 07/04/2019 attendees will be encouraged to construct a creative writing piece that allows them to embody their experience, the healing process and every feeling involved! This piece could be a reflection or expression of healing and overcoming- it is up to the creative to develop their piece and express their truth.  This workshop will end 07/11/2019 with an opportunity for attendees to share their creative writing piece, a lesson that they've learned on this journey or words of affirmation for the people that they shared with experience with. We look forward to hearing your story and witnessing you stand in your truth! Requirements: Attendees must register and reserve their seat to attend this workshop (This ensures that we have enough materials for all attendees!) Attendees must be able to attend ALL workshop dates! The location for these workshops is set, unless communicated otherwise by the host! This is a SAFE SPACE and no racism, xenophobia, homophobia, fatphobia, sexism, transphobia, ableism, classism, or HATE will be tolerated.  Attendees will be asked to sign a confidentiality contract for the safety and security of all attendees and the space.  o o o  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Black Voices United coordinator Tamiel Mckee Bey by email at blckvcesunited@gmail.com or visit https://www.blckvcesunited.org/upcomingeventsbvu
